What's the proper way to run the no CD patch? When I unzip the patch, it contains a single file called heaven.exe, and it's when I run that file that I get those messages in >>117055 - >>117057. In what directory should I be running the heaven.exe file?

I think you're supposed to replace the original heaven.exe in whatever folder to which you installed the game.
(Make a copy of the original .exe first, in case I'm wrong.)
