Hey, nice to see you here!
I agree with what others have said; you've got some real strong and detailed lineart here, and you really did a good job with the guro theme.
I think from what I can see that the colors are what aren't working for me; for the traditionally-drawn piece, the shading's just too soft to really attract any attention to itself, and you didn't seem to use very many colors in it.
A nitpick here would be the blood; in both versions, it just doesn't look dark enough. I'd suggest you try gently blending in some blacks into the blood, particularly in the shadows, since blood's a pretty dark red (and also oxidizes fairly quickly). Otherwise, I'd say, just push the shading. Don't be afraid to put browns into the blond hair or add some reds and lighter browns to the skin. Guro pieces work better with a darker color scheme, in my opinion. And, with a darker picture, it can be much more fun and interesting to pick out highlights so that they'll really stand out, particularly on, say, the hair, the eyeball, and maybe a little for the blood, too, depending on light source/material that he's resting against.
Overall, I'd have to say that I prefer the traditional piece, since I'm seeing nothing particularly interesting or original in the digital color job, and the lines look much messier with the stale leopard-print slapped on below and the uninteresting colors.
Still, really lovely work, and keep it up! I'd like to see some more from you.
