He told me while her eyes are sewn shut in the story, but I should find a more inoffensive (read: publishable) way of portrayal. And I said that I can put a blindfold on her, but I would also draw the "sewn shut" version for Mr.R's and my own amusement.Eventually, I added a lot more gory details on this (not-intended-to-be-published) version, such as whip marks, burned skin and flesh, and generally much more blood. At the end Mr.R liked this version so much he urged ME to convince the art editor at the publishing house to use it for the book cover. I tried to tell him that there are about three dozens laws forbid us from putting up a cover like that, and R told me to go and try anyway.

To cut a long story short, the art editor was so pissed (we're already on a tight publishing schedule) that she asked the boss of the house to personally give me the phone call, expressing his wish of NOT wanting to go to jail for infringing a dozen censorship laws. Turns out the blindfolded version didn't work either. The art editor practically begged me to draw some more clothing between her legs. Finally resulting in this much milder version.
Sorry to hear you have to deal with such idiots. I think both pictures look great, but for some reason I like the first one more..*cough
Since the passing of Octopus Trap, and the sporadic output of Walt Uziga, YOU are the premiere Guro artist in the world. I, personally, thank you for you work and your talent.
