I seriously hope this becomes an animated series.

I liked the manga more back when Fran was just completely out of touch with normal human morals and ideals, but still wanting to be helpful and good. Seems at some point they shifted to her being actively amoral and/or actually evil, and it became just another grimdark guro fantasy with a villain protagonist.

Before it was like "What strange situation will result from Fran's distinctly inhuman outlook?" and now it's just "What horrors will Fran gleefully unleash?"

Hopefully we'll see Madaraki for the first time instead of leaving us with a cliffhanger like in the zombie-themed chapter. Did that ever have an ending or did I skip over it...

I can't believe it ended just like that. It was inconclusive, let alone abrupt. At least she didn't die (I think?). When I saw the part about her getting cut in half I suddenly had this fear that she was dead...
But why was she on the ship? How did she get home? Why are there suddenly so many patients?

Not happy with this ending, at all. Fran apparently died, according to the translator. I don't even know. This is even more crushing than some of the KS endings, jeez...

No wai! After all we've been through together Fran can't just die like that. If the author was planning on ending the series she should've built up a climax of some kind, and then still I say no killing Fran. Do what they did in Game of Shadows: make us think you killed her, then have her come back at the end and troll everyone.
If this does not happen I will personally write a sequel.

Agreed. This sort of thing is more of an inconvenience for Fran than anything, going by the rest of the manga. She was cut up by a laser, had her throat slashed and operated on herself, and almost starved to death in a tunnel. This is just not the way Fran would go. :C
