Not really. The name Angel Corps implies a rebirth and none of the girls have faced the same assassin twice in any major context.
My fanon is that everytime they die, the memories of that event are remotely collected and processed for information over a few hours, and the clean, memory-wiped clone version of the Angel pops out, updated with new mission data, tactical skills to not have to deal with getting fucked over by the same attack, and ready to fight again. The part of Double Team where Princess instinctively takes out the assassin? That's a memory patch, learning to avoid a situation like that again. Her 'no way' is because she doesn't remember knowing how to do any of that.
They can just reupload the Angel from death, but that has the habit of the girl freaking out about dying and has led to many a psychotic breakdown or tearing of skin that just isn't condusive to an agent, so they just wipe everything, to also cover tracks for interrogation possibilities. How can she reveal what she did on past missions if she doesn't remember them? The whole girls thing? Either some explanation that it only works on female engrams or just that they're unexpected and more adaptable. Girls that keep coming back are just agents that have been in the field longer, cloned again and again, while one-offs just get decomissioned.
Maybe it complicates, but it's able to keep the romantic subplots going a little longer, not having to scrap story points again and again, and running some fun revenge and drama into it. Not enough to drown the point of the guro out, but enough that we care a bit about this or that encounter more.
