The best I've been able to do for "The Fishbone" by Akira Oyama is track it to an Italian comic published in September 1997 "Storie de kappa No 36. Eroti Kappa 1 star comics"
From what I could tell the story was split across that issue and I assume issue 37.

Additional: I did another google search for it after posting here and found that it's actually issue 1, not 36. Also found issues 2+3, both which mentioned Fishbone on the cover so I assume it is at least a 3 parter. 2+3 were for sale on ebay Italy, so naturally I bought them :3. Issue 1 was available but it was a site I didn't recognise so if you're braver than me you could pick it up, but personally I'm just going to keep trawling ebay Italy.

TLDR: It's out there, just keep checking italian comic sellers.

Got the second volume. By the looks of it all the stuff of relevance to this thread will be in volume 3 (or any subsequent issues if there are any), which is unfortunate as the place I was buying 3 off had some sort of problem with it and had to refund me.

That said there is gore in it. I can't quite grasp the plot and there isn't much dialogue but from what I can gather there is this guy who is protecting this elf girl for whatever reason and this tribe of masked pygmy type dudes (and women who also appear to be elves) grab her off him to sacrifice her to a T-rex. He gets smashed in the head with an axe and his eyes pop out and he gets bitten in half by the T-rex but he seems relatively unperturbed by this, a bit like 3x3 eyes I suppose.
