lots of good advice but i'd like to add too.
recommend working out. it can suck at first but if you stick with it it can be an awesome complement. when you feel you can't do another rep, focus the negativity however it works best. when your arms are spent for example imagine they are still at full strength and it's only hard to complete the rep because you're trying to tear an arm out of a socket or something. alternatively you can focus on your own destruction and when you feel it's just too difficult to continue, remind yourself how laughable it would be to call the feeling you experience now "pain" compared to what the people experience in hundreds of the images on here. build up all those feelings until you are forcing yourself to feel them and the longer and/or harder you push yourself the harder it will be to maintain. either way you are harnessing negative energy for a positive change and come out feeling good about yourself

Pretty nice, I think it would be perfect if the guitar-like sounds would be some unhuman synth instead though.

I don't ignore it.
I indulge in it.
Self harm does help a lot, just do it in places where people won't see it. And do small things too like bruises so you don't loose a lot of blood.

Haha, when I saw "Venetian Snares - Befriend a Childkiller" I was going to post the same music video, I thought you posted album version or something.
I think it's great, the whole album is in similar style, but this track is probably my favorite.

Whenever I'm on gurochan, this song is playing. I can't really explain why it's so perfectly fitting. I'm sure anyone else who has heard it can relate.

I'm really impressed with this thread! I'm finding a lot of cool stuff that I've never heard before. I'm also especially pleased with all of the noise and experimental music in here, though I am not at all surprised that there's such an overlap between noise and guro fans, hah.

That Guanoson track samples one of my favorite musicians, Junko, pretty heavily. She's the one doing the high-pitched screaming. You should check her out, if you haven't yet (you probably have, since she does a lot of work with Hijokaidan).

I'm not really disgusted by myself at all. I lead a good life, I'm studying to be a physicist, I have a beautiful boyfriend who loves me for who I am. The fact of the matter is that I would never do any of this in real life. Sure I'm in to some pretty kinky shit, but that doesn't mean that I'm actually a serial killer who gets off on the pain of his victims (I'm actually masochistic). I figure there's a big difference between jacking off to this (yes, I am male) and actually acting on it, so it doesn't really bother me.

tl;dr it's all okay because I would never do any of this

Bump with links.
I myself have a broad range of music that I enjoy, but whenever /g/ is involved I tend to be in the mood for something orchestrated, classical or sometimes jazz fit the bill nicely. I also tend to like acoustic pieces and light rock when browsing.

Bach's Cello Suite No.1
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DwHpDOWhkGk

I also recommend damn near anything by Jack Johnson, here's an example:

I feel that classic rock tends to set the mood for guro.

I don't associate any music with guro, but here's a song I like which seems thematically appropriate (Lotion by The Greenskeepers): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L87gmDw90cA

No self-disgust here. I believe in unconditional self-acceptance. The only person I can count on to be 100% on my side is myself. Giving in to self-hatred, guilt, or other anti-self feelings instead of fighting them would essentially be surrendering a piece of my mind to a world that considers me expendable.

Not like anyone is going to find this unless they already own it as it's long out-of-print. The Cassandra Complex CD 'Cyberpunx' opens with a song called "Nice Work If You Can Get It". One verse describing killing a guy in a public toilet stall with a Japanese steel whip. Several other songs by this band have fairly sadistic lyrics as well. Dark Goth/Electronic/Dance. Rodney Orpheus was also the keyboard player for Sisters of Mercy...
