The rules and FAQ sections have undergone some long overdue revision. Most of the changes have taken place in the General Rules section, make sure you read that at least if you can only read so many words in one sitting :3

These changes aren't so much about tightening the rules as they are about providing greater clarity and understanding about what is and isn't allowed on GUROchan.

Having just said that, I've decided to bar all 3D renders from the site. I agree that this might be seen as somewhat ham fisted but over the years I've seen so little quality 3D renders posted here that I don't have any qualms about implementing this ban. The reason I'm doing this is partly quality control but also to hopefully eliminate the number of bans we hand out due to disagreement between poster and moderation as to what 3D render is and isn't "low quality." We don't enjoy handing out bans, you don't enjoy receiving them and we all wish to see a decent standard of quality on GUROchan, so I believe this is the best solution.

There are also now two anonymous admins on GUROchan, just so you're aware~

Our host has forced us to move from a shared server to a private server because of performance issues on their shared server. This means you will be seeing a few changes:

Because of the crazy amount of data (90 GB) and threads I would have to parse, I have decided to start all boards from scratch. Because I still have all the data, you may see archives for the old image boards popping up in the future.

Now is a better time than ever to contribute to GUROchan, please help us rebuild!
